The Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health reaches to achieve its mission of improving the health of North Carolina’s mothers and babies through a multi-faceted approach. One important component of our work is caring directly for some of North Carolina’s highest-risk pregnant women, new mothers and babies. Through our weekly interdisciplinary care conference, coordinated communication and services, family-centered care, and the provision of the most current treatments, we aim to keep mothers well and give their babies the healthiest start in life that is possible.
In addition to providing direct care, our Collaborative also offers training, technical assistance and resources for health care professionals and consumers across the state and country, conducts research, supports quality, evidence-based practice, and elevates family voices.
